Healthy Eateries Map

GIS, Automation, Systems Integration

Four systems wired into one pipeline for a wellbeing week. Staff rate a restaurant in Microsoft Forms, a nightly FME job scores it, and an ArcGIS dashboard updates the map and the leaderboard. Used by 20 colleagues in its first week.

Background

Built for Hydration and Nutrition Week 2026 at the request of a Wellbeing Ambassador. A small brief, used as a reason to wire four systems into one working pipeline.

What I built

Staff select a restaurant on a map and submit a nutrition score through Microsoft Forms. A scheduled daily FME job processes responses and updates the ArcGIS dashboard, which shows a map of nearby restaurants, a health rating leaderboard, and an AI-generated health score with a suggested healthier menu option for each venue.

Outcome

Launched during the 2026 event and used by 20 colleagues in its first week.

Where it goes next

Ongoing refinement is focused on reliability of the scheduled automation and streamlining the process for adding new restaurants.
